Client Portal Acceptable Use Policy

The Octobere portal is designed to help clients and partners submit requests, track progress, communicate with the operations team and view request history. This policy explains how the portal should be used.
1. Account security
- Users must keep login details confidential.
- Users must not share accounts unless Octobere has approved shared access.
- Users must tell Octobere promptly if they believe an account has been compromised.
- Partner administrators must ensure only authorised users have portal access.
2. Acceptable use
Users must use the portal only for lawful Octobere requests and communications. Users must not upload unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, fraudulent, malicious, confidential third-party material without authority, or material that infringes intellectual property rights.
3. Prohibited activity
- Attempting to access another user's account or data.
- Uploading malware, harmful code or suspicious links.
- Using the portal to harass staff, suppliers or other users.
- Submitting false, misleading or unauthorised requests.
- Scraping, copying or reverse engineering the portal.
- Using the portal for unlawful, unsafe or exploitative services.
4. Suspension
Octobere may suspend or restrict portal access where we identify security risk, misuse, breach of policy, unpaid invoices, suspected fraud or operational risk.
5. Portal availability
We aim to keep the portal available, but availability may be affected by maintenance, upgrades, hosting issues, security incidents or events outside our control. Urgent requests should also be sent through the agreed urgent channel where applicable.
